As a journalist of The Daily Star, I participated in a three-day workshop on "Media and HIV/AIDS: Training of Trainers Workshop on Development of Multimedia Materials" jointly organized by UNESCO Dhaka & UNESCO New Delhi, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 20-22 January, 2006.

I participated a seminar and live surgery presentation on Phacoemulsification --- "MORE ON PHACO" on April 21, 2006 organized by Bangladesh Eye Hospital, Dhaka.

I participated and presented scientific paper in the "International Conference on Road Safety in Developing Countries" held in August 22-24, 2006 at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The conference was organized by Accident Research Council, Bangladesh.

I attended 4th International Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention of International AIDS Society (IAS) held in Sydney, Australia in July 2007. Visit conference site here.

I had been selected for a Journalist to Journalist HIV/AIDS Training offered by the National Press Foundation, USA prior to the IAS Conference.

I was accorded an award for "Excellence in Health Reporting" on April 11, 2008 by HEAL on the occasion of 1st National Health Writers & Communicators Convention held in New Delhi, India. The Independent

In the year 2002, I started working with The Independent, an english daily of Bangladesh as Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital correspondent. I continued the job for two years.

Save the Children, UK

I worked with Save the Children, UK as a translator of some papers of HNPSP (Health, Nutrition and Population Sector Wise Program).

The Daily Star

I am working as the In-charge of Star Health page of The Daily Star --- the largest circulating English daily newspaper of Bangladesh and beyond. I have been working here since the launch of Star Health page in 2003.

I worked at Mitford Hospital as an internee doctor in 2007.

I used to practise Neuromedicine as a Research Assistant with Dr M A Hayee. Dr Hayee is a renowned Neurologist and Internist in Bangladesh. He is pioneer in Neurointervention and introduction of Botulinum toxin in the treatment of different neurologic disorders in Bangladesh.
